A deep brick red core fading to reddish on the rim. A beautifully ripe and complex nose, full of evocative and subtle nuances. Aromas of plum, fig and sultana mingle with a soft fragrance of marzipan and caramel. Hints of cigar box, cedar wood and leather add an exotic dimension to the nose. The wine is seductively round and smooth, with beautifully integrated, understated tannins adding an attractive dryness and grip. The wine is full of rich fruitcake flavours, with some fresh plum character emerging on the long finish. An expertly blended, harmonious and balanced Tawny Port, with all the intensity and finesse derived from ageing in seasoned oak casks.
