Niepoort Secundum Vintage 2001

Niepoort Secundum Vintage was made of over 70 years old vineyards, more exactly Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Francisca, Tinto Cão, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Amarela and Sousão. Despite the fact that in that year there were some floods in the valley. the aging of the grapes went according to all standards due to the nice weather in the spring and the summer. The grapes were harvested manually in the months of September/October, crushed by foot, and aged in cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia.
