Deep purple, almost black with a narrow magenta rim. Lush, powerful and fresh nose of blackcurrant and cherry. Finesse, elegance and balance with a linear thrust of wild berries, nuances of plum and a touch of citrus and quince. This dense background is overlaid with a charming freshness of grapes that intensifies as the aroma develops. The floral aromas, characteristic of Vargellas, are present, with fragrances of violet intertwined with delicate notes of flowers and herbs. A wave of clean red fruit runs through the palate from start to finish. The tannins are firm but well integrated, providing plenty of grip and an attractive touch of austerity.
