Taylor's is one of the few remaining houses to produce 30 Years Old Tawny wine.
Selected red Port wines are produced in the eastern part of the Douro region, including wines from Taylor's own farms, and are aged in seasoned oak casks in Taylor's cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. In the town of Gaia, the cool and damp coastal climate allows a smooth and slow ageing process, producing aromas of great complexity and finesse.
Only every two or three years is a reserve Port wine laid aside with sufficient structure, fruit and strength to be able to age for a long time.
Wines that constitute the reserve are aged in oak casks.
Those that have reached their peak after 30 years are then blended to achieve balance and finesse, as well as to ensure quality and style consistency .
Tawny 30 Years Old Port is one of those wines.
Wines are aged in oak casks in Taylor's cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.
